Just got back from 6 straight days on da bay. Fished 14 hours a day. Between 2 of us, we managed to boat 9 eyes over 10lbs including 2 over 11lbs. We caught an addional 25 fish in the 6-9 lb range. Had 2 of my guests get a wall hanger. Managed to get a real nice 10lb+ eye for a guest with only 10 minutes before he had to get back to the dock for the trip home, that's a fish he will never forget. Put a real heavy 31 in the boat on Tuesday all by myself and I thought about putting it on the wall, but alas, she is still swimming, no reward in seeing her on the wall. Got more satifaction watching her swim away. Purple Glass Huskys, 105 back in 21 feet of water was great the first 2 days, firetiger rip sticks, blue prizm Bomber 24a's, and the Smithwick General worked in the Shallows at night. Tried lots of combinations, but Purple Husky #12 were the ticket. After first 3 days of strong North winds, the fish were no where to be found. anonymous E-mail me if you need any details... Member Posts: 744 | We had a decent trip this past weekend on LBDN. We had several fish in the 26-28.5" range and this 30"er my buddy got that was pushing 11 pounds. Pulling leadcore and stickbaits 1.2 - 1.5 mph in deeper water. We managed some fish in the day, but as usual, the 2 hours before and after sundown were the best. Member Posts: 340 Location: McFarland, WI | We had a great week on Little Bay. 96 walleyes with 14 over 28 inches. Pattern was all lead core day and night. West winds dictated running shallower passes(20-27')most days over the south end of center but when we were able to run the deep chute we picked up big fish in 32 feet of water with purple prism Matsuo's, AJ's and Bombers at 1.2 mph. Gold prism baits seemed better in the shallower water using 2 colors. Night bite was phenomenal using 2-2.5 colors of lead at 1.7-1.9 mph and using purple prism Bombers, Ripsticks, and AJ's. Clown and Blue Chrome Husky's and Ripsticks also caught fish and Blueberry Muffin Ripstciks had a couple good nights. Water temps were under 41 when we left Saturday. Hope you all get to enjoy this fall run, it was one of our best. | ||
