Anybody hear anymore on the topic of the dnr charging for tournament permits. The other angle I had heard is they were thinking of passing that cost onto tourney anglers.Sorry if you guys already had talked this over.I have been shooting stuff for the past couple months.THANKS

Sounds to me like the DNR will take at least a year to figure out a course of action. At the meeting in Rhinelander, they said they were going to have to take a hard look at all the testimony, as they got far more from the anglers and Chambers and other hosting entities than they expected.

That's my interpretation also. No changes in 07 but watch out for 08.

All tournament fee's should be sent directly to me and they will be directly applied to my upcoming season

I believe that before the DNR puts any regulation regarding this issue in effect that they will have more public meetings. Given the large numbers of people who turned out and testified at the hearings, along with the hundreds of emails against the proposed regs., it would make sense to submit them as a proposal instead of creating a law that the majority of people would be against.
