| Adult Youth Walleye Fishing Tournament June 3, 2007.
Hennepin Marine and the Illinois Walleye Trail is pleased to announce that on June 3, 2007 it will be hosting its first Annual Competitive Walleye Tournament on the Illinois River located in Hennepin Illinois.
The objective is to introduce and educate young Anglers to the competitive sport of fishing in a friends and family oriented fun filled team format, while creating a dream for millions of youth in the Midwest to join in the sport of competitive fishing.
Each team will consist of one adult angler and two young anglers, 17 and under. From the 8:00a.m. takeoff to the 2:00p.m. weigh in, each youth explores the water with an experienced angler, in search of the right combination of 5 Walleye or Saugers needed to take first place.
Entry fee will be 70.00 for each adult angler , paying back 100% to 20% of the field of adult anglers. Youth anglers teamed with the winning adults anglers will receive prizes.
To complete the day, Adult Youth Tournament ends with an awards presentation, and cook out made possible by donations from the event sponsors. Although the top teams are the major prize winners, every young angler will go home with a bundle of goodies to congratulate them for a great day on the water.
