My parents use to own a bar and restaurant in Illinois and this weekend my Dad presented my children with this football. Just wondering what I should do with it as far a getting it appraised and taking care of it. Mr Ray Nitschke visited his bar and signed this football. Should it be wrapped in plastic or put in a case or what? I want my two boys to have it when they grow up.

I have a football autographed by all the Packers from the last Superbowl. I was doing some work for a couple of the Packers and I asked Leroy Butler to take it to the locker room and get it signed. I got it back from him a year later. It has Reggie White's signature on it twice. I recently took it to a collector and he told me it was worth between 2500-3000 dollars. I now have it in a plastic case stored in a dry dark place so the light of day does not fade the signatures. Unlike you, I can't give it to my son because he's a San Francisco fan. Ever since he got Steve Young's autographed picture back in the mail along with his e-mail address, he will forever be a Frisco fan.

Store that football away and take it out on Game day only... and then raise your glass to old # 66.

Guest, I'm not a San Fran Fan. I am a huge Packer fan, and I have a dark dry basement. I would take very good care of that football. Tell your son he's been replaced!

Put it in a glass or acryllic case, you can buy them fairly cheap online. Then store it in a dark dry place like mentioned. It will keep forever and look nice in the football case as well.

There are a couple places in Appleton that can appraise it for you as well.
