| If interested, lets get a discussion on early (April May) locations and methods for catching Walleyes on Winnebago without making a trip to the Wolf or Eureka...
I used to fish real early off Jefferson Park, but that was so long ago the Walleyes from that era are all dead by now or they are 25 years old and don't have any teeth left to bite.
Any prespawning Walleyes on Winnebago and how to catch them.

Location: Darboy USA | Without giving away too much info, I have had VERY good luck fishing along the east shore early in the year (As early as late March). Usually a jig and minnow bite in the gravel, but even crawlers work well this time of year.
Key in on spots that might hold some larger rocks as well, you should be able to see them easily on your graph. We've had over 20 fish days out there rather easily. No real monsters, but some good eaters up to 18" at times. You'll also get some bonus sandpike as well.
Small jigs in green, chartruese, orange, or a mixture are always good as are deadsticks hanging off the side of the boat.
As mentioned numerous times on this site, not ALL the walleyes go upriver to spawn! Find your spots on the lake and the fish will be there year after year.

| You missed the obvious hot spot at the mouth of the river at Oshkosh. |
