Not sure how the day bite has been but I've heard of some very good catches opf fish, especially early mornings. I've been night fishiung and getting some nice fish but it hasn't been as good as I hoped so far. The fish fight so hard it's tough to get a net on them or keep the hook in them, especially the bigger ones. We've caught a few males between 17 - 18 inches and quite a few females, biggest being a bit over 25 inches. We have had on some MONSTERS but have not been lucky enough to get one in the net. The power and fight with only a few feet of line makes for a real challenge. Predicted weather will make it a two way street before you know it. Fish are laready probing the weedy shorelines looking for spawning areas.
Have fun, be safe.
