| Hey guys, was wondering how all of you guys that have older "kickers" on your boats have them secured to the boat and how you have them "lifted" in the trailering or riding position, this is a question for the ones who do not have the power tilt or trim on their kicker. I just don't want to damage my transom without some knowlege of this before I purchase an "older" kicker without power trim. Thanks in advance!! | |||

Member Posts: 194 | Just put it down for trailering and put it in reverse, which will lock it in place so it cant bounce, for riding on the lake put it all the way up when not in use Edited by The Man! 4/8/2007 6:16 PM

Member Posts: 3899 | If a kicker doesn't have tilt and trim, I would highly recommend the Bracket Pro. This will secure your kicker when running on plane. As far as availability, has Robert stopped making them? Here's a link. http://www.ynottech.com/products/bracketpro/

Member Posts: 87 Location: Neenah, WI | Fleet Farm carries a bracket/strap system for kickers as well. Can't think of the Mfg. name, but it works very well. I keep my kicker strapped down during trailering, and strapped up while boating. Very secure and stable. Also bolted to the transom, and I use a lock for security. May not totally prevent theft, but will slow them down...

| Yes they do not make bracket pro's any longer. Not sure why, it's a great product I talked to Rob last summer when I needed a part and he still had some stuff lying around. Maybe you could get lucky If not try the marinas in Oshkosh you still find one | |||
