Location: Rhinelander | Wind and cold limited the field to the River today, with waves forecast to build up to 12' on the big water. Many of the Pros had prepared for that possibility, as this storm was forecast as early as last week to bring wind, rain, and some snow to the area.
The river was relatively calm this morning, but the bite seemed slow. Lund/Mercury Pro Ron Seelhoff had a couple fish, G3/Yamaha Pro Jerry Ruffalo hadn't kept one yet, and only a couple fish hit the net while we were on the water. Most of the boats indicated they had yet to livewell a fish but we were off the water by 8:30 Eastern.
There's plenty of day left.

Ron has fished many FLW events in the past where ya been?
It shows in his stats that he has never fished a FLW event, just a RCL events, unless I missed something too.
OPPS, I missed the Devils Lk. one last year, sorry

| He has fished the FLW/RCL 18 times. He's not had the same success as he has had in the PWT. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I believe in 03 maybe 04 they changed the name to FLW! But no need to argue about when or where Ron Seelhoff has fished an FLW event. It was just interesting to see considering he's a mainly a troller and fishing in a tournament where jigging/rigging is probably going to dominate. That's all. |

| How is jigging or rigging going to dominate. Detroit river the birthplace of handlining, where it excels in dirty conditions. Watch for some trollers near the top after 4 days of muddy river.

Whens the last day of the tourney? To bad you couldn't stop off in Bay City on your way home. I fished that local hot water discharge near me yesterday after getting skunked on the Bay. We caught some of those giant cats one after the other that you were interested in, along with some giant whites and smallies. Of course this blizzard I'm looking at right now over the Bay might change things.

Location: Chicago IL. | I think the handliners will prevail on the detroit. The fish will get ok with the falling water temps and the dirty water that is comming will slow the jig bite. Alot of HOGS were comming on handlines up untill tuesday. |

What are the water temps? Did you have a chance to see what they were biting on ? Were headed out there for the weekend anrd was looking for a couple of tips.
