I just upgraded to a new Lowrance LCX-27C and was just wondering what mount I should go with? Also, where is the best place to mount the puck for optimum GPS reception? Any thoughts or comments would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks- Jason

Wat boat? I use the Tom Backer mount on my Tuffy, and it fits a number of boats, including Ranger and Lund.

You can get it from www.bartness.com.

I mounted my GPS Receiver on the front cap, but on my last boat, it was mounted on the console. Never a problem.

It's a '93 18 foot Astro; a little rusty, but trusty! There isn't much dash available for mounting behind the windshield, so I'm kinda leaning toward a RAM, just don't know if I should spend the loot to get the HD mount. Thanx

I used a ram mount on my 19C and it broke in the waves, so I would suggest a direct mount to the boat, with the graphs bracket.
