Had the pleasure to meet John Dulaney - Technical Sales Representative of the Boats and Outboard Engines Division for Bombardier - otherwise known to me as Evinrude Tech-Guy!

Wish the circumstance were different to make his aquaintance, but it was the pressure I was under to repair my normally reliant 1995 Johnson four-stroke kicker motor that brought me into his realm of repair.

This guy really does know his work and the real bonus for the Evinrude Tournament Fisherman is his past experience as a tournament entrant. This insight will go along way in a positive attitude even when confronted with some of us who may make a small problem seem like a whole mountain of ant hills!

But back to my motor problem. I was very impressed with how John was able to diagnose the problem so easily with the information on how the motor was acting. He immediately went to the task with conviction and fixed the problem for me without a second guess. He even fixed a repair from another shop that had failed to replace a part in the proper position. And in the end, he put me back on the water with my kicker motor in working order, ready to do another 5000 hour stint!

The other good news he has to tell is the Evinrude Semi-Trailer full of parts will be attending every MWC, RCL, and PWT events this year and we will see John's expert hands at work during these tournaments. Some of these he plans to work out of locations that are not at the tournament site and he plans to e-mail me the locations of which I will forward to those of you on this site.

The only other little tid bit I have to share is to introduce yourself to John even if you are not under pressure to. He may get busy helping out in fixing "the other guy's stuff", (just a joke!) so you will have some face time in which he can recognize you by.

Besides this, us Evinrude Owners can use him to help each other with a little fishing knowledge of our 4th and 5th best spots! :-):-):-)

The picture is of John working on my motor.

I would like to say thanks to John from Bombardier/Evinrude for coming to our PWT tournaments this year. It's great knowing that if we do have any problems that we have a great guy there to help us out!
