Due to injury, it' been exactly 28 days since I was last able to get out on Bago. I should've stayed in bed because I took a serious spanking on the water today. On the water from 5:00-11:00am with only one 13" eye to show for my efforts (unless you're willing to count a dozen goats ). I got the loner on my 1st pass pulling harnesses along the north edge of the Lighthouse Reef in 10'. Made few more passes then headed east working harnesses in 16'-17'. Pulled cranks back towards the reef then gave up and tried to find a few perch for the last hour. I'm not yet fully mobile but mobile enough to fish, hopefully, the bite picks up a little.

Took the kids out looking for some perch from 12:30-2:30 this afternoon. Started south of the Lighthouse Reef 14.5' w/ only a few sheeps. Then we moved to 12.5' and the boys caught 1-15" eye, a half dozen nice perch, a 13" smallie, and a bunch of sheeps. Deadsticking an orange 1/32oz jig w/ a small chunk of crawler was best today. Lots of fun action for the kids. I've got a few pics to post later.

Nice. Glad to see some action on Winnebago. Great fish for the kids.

Bob,

I took my kids out tubing on Bago on Saturday and first of all the wind switched directions about 5 times on us so we spent plenty of time chasing back and forth looking for calm water... I could not believe how dirty the water was everywhere we went.

I could hear my boat complaining the entire time I was out that it was tired of pulling tubes and just wanted to go back fishing. And I thought fishing used a lot of gas... omg... Thank God for kicker tanks.... I used 3/4's of a tank of gas and ran out as I was heading back in from the North Shore. The ole Yamaha T-8 sure saved the day although it could not get the tubes out of the water on plane!!

oh... and the fishing has been good up North, dare I say!
