This first picture below is of my charter clients I had today. According to many of the MWT boys coming in off the Saginaw Bay from pre-fishing today for the tournament this weekend, we did better then most today in some tough-bite conditions. We boated 12 walleyes and kept 5 for the 1/2 day effort.

Now, the second picture is where the day turned ugly. This happened on my way home from fishing and is my first accident since I got my license 38 years ago. Nice, Huh? :tdo12:

Kick the other side in and call it a 'stepside' or you can look at it another way. 38 years of paying for auto insurance, you deserve to finally collect!!

The sad thing is that 38 years of good driving will be ignored by the insurance company when they raise Dan's rates after the claim.

Ok.... lets start a how did Dan crash his truck survey.

I'll go first.

Lets see, damage above the molding, looks like a fairly heavy hit, passenger side means he was not paying attention.. hmm...

I'll say he was distracted by a guy towing a brand new Grady White and he just took his eyes off the road for a second to admire the boat and a bass fisherman was attempting to jump the road between 2 parts of the lake and ran into and over him and just caught his truck with the skag and prop.

Your close, kinda. I was going to go straight on a 2 laner, thought about stopping in at West Marine to pick up more boat cleaner and a new boat brush, looked in my rear view mirror before getting into the right turn lane (but not in my side mirror) didn't see the van in my blind spot and turned into it. I got the ticket, nobody was hurt. Thank God.

Yes, you know I know you were kidding.

Your stuff is great for removing water spots, scum stains and polishing any surface. But the stuff that (almost daily) stains my boat while at dock in the marina needs special attention.

Capt Dan,
Looks like you needed the bump board on a few of those fish
If you don't want to spend the time getting the bumps pounded out, GM has some great deals on new trucks!!
Bummer about the truck. After the sound of the crunch, a guys stomach turns all sour.
Take care,
Jim O

Ya...the smallest one was right at the 15 inch mark when I measured it on my MWT bump board I've had since 1984. Inches haven't changed since then have they? The rest were good too go. I was praying that we would not get checked because the after death (cooler shrinkage) is always good for a 1/2 inch.

just got back from my buds house (whos a body man) and he says we can just replace the whole box 1/4 pannel as nothing else was damaged. About $1,600.00 installed.

Ouch, Dan! I find myself closer to situations like that more as I get older, it has to be that or ADD for me!

Dan,

That doesn't happen to Fords... They won't let you steer into an occupied lane... It is normally a very closely guarded secret we don't tel the drivers of "other" trucks... Remember that next time you shop... Fords do't let their owners crash into things... Just a courtesy of the truck to it's owner!!! LOL

(Sorry about that... I know how attached you can get to a god truck...)
