MIDWEST WALLEYE SERIES (MWS) FOURTH STOP SCHEDULED SEPT 9TH ON THE BAY OF GREEN BAY, GREEN BAY, WI

APPLETON: The Midwest Walleye Series (MWS) fourth stop of the 2007 season will be in Green Bay, WI on Sunday Sept, 9, 2007 and will include fishing the entire Bay of Green Bay.

The registration and rules meeting will be at Metro Park located at the end of Bay Beach Rd, Green Bay, WI. Registration is 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with the rules meeting at 6:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. Teams must be off the water by 5:00 PM Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007.

There are still openings in this tournament. We will take entries up to the rules meeting, however entries postmarked or taken after Saturday Sept.1, 2007 will be charged a processing fee. Entries are available on our web site www.fishtfm.com or call 920-731-3474 or e-mail [email protected] and I will mail you an entry form.

Tournament hours will be 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM with the entire Bay being open to fishing, Weigh-in and boat checks will be at Metro Park, which will be tournament headquarters. There will be a four fish limit for this tournament.

The MWS will hold our Championship September 29, 2007 on the Wisconsin River fishing out of Petenwell County Park. Also with the addition of some new sponsors and continued support of past sponsors, this year’s championship payout has been increased. The top twenty five teams of the series will fish the championship tournament and attend the championship banquet. There will be no entry fee for the qualifiers.

The MWS circuit is a professional, competitive, and affordable fishing opportunity. Results are posted on our website www.fishtfm.com as well as other web sites. Also, the Midwest Outdoors Magazine covers the tournament results. A subscription to the Midwest Outdoors Magazine in included with the MWS membership.

The MWS is run by Fishermen for Fishermen.

The major sponsors for the Midwest Walleye Series are Ranger Boats, Mercury Marine, MotorGuide and Mills Fleet Farm.

Jim,

You mentioned "No entry fee for qualifiers"...Does that mean that other anglers wishing to enter would need to pay an entry fee if they are not in the top 25? Would that mean that "non qualifying" team 26 would have to pay if one of the qualifiers wouldn't show? How much? Would that money be put into a big fish pot? Just curious....Thanks

curious ,, the mws will only take the top 25 boats at the championship.. if your not in the top25 you wont be there.. if you are in the top twentyfive there will be no entry fee... this is a seperate event from the tournament upcomming at green bay,, jim just put in a plug for the championship in the same update.

You are correct the Championship is only for the top twenty five teams. If one of the top twenty five are unable to fish they will get a check and a plaques and other awards. It is a seperate event from the Green Bay tournament and the posting was just to inform people when and where the MWS Championship will be held.
