sitting down posting this report with a nice rain coming down of which the areas need as to the dryness!
Fishing conditions have been variable with reports of some good walleye catches to just a few.
Water temps. running around 68' to 70' throughout both upper/lower Bay waters right now.
We've seen variable temps. with some warming days, cooling nights and seeing a bunch of "fog" the past few mornings.
Best walleye methods and working crawler harness's/bouncers and in-line boards covering water depths to 35 feet. Varying depths and using your electronics seeing suspending fish and adjusting accordingly.
Definitely seeing and catching lots of bonus perch showing us lots of food in the water columns not mentioning the gobies and other young of the year baitfish.
Tried some jigging in the weeds catching several walleye and a bonus couple of bass and pike.
Northern Pike action another bonus fishery out here showing some good action as well; best bait choices and large spinnerbaits, spoons and large crankbaits.
Don't forget those wire leaders for these "toothy-critters" but lots of fun.
Never overlook the fact that this Bay waters is not just a Walleye Fishery with the bonus Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass.
Keep in touch fisherman as everyday fishing will continue to improve,
Here are some past week photo's of fun fishing,
Honey-mooning couple; Jodi and Justin Meronk from Eland, Wisconsin had a great walleye day; Andrew Waldherr enjoying being on the water with Dad, Dave. At 7 years old and the love for fishing!
