I plan on buying a new boat this fall and really want a dedicated Musky fishing boat. My wife and I have looked at a number of boats and she would like a fish and ski boat. Other than possibly the Triton FS-190 all the fish and ski boats we have looked at are more ski than fish. Has Tuffy or anyone ever retro fitted a 1760 or 1890 with a removable rear bench seat like the F & S boats have? The idea of a removable bench seat in back of Tuffy sounds good to my wife and would give me the type of boat I want. So if anyone has done something like this or has some good ideas please let me know. Also I was reading the "get together" post and I read about the new Tuffy models, does anyone have a rough idea what these boats might be? Chris

i haven't put a bench seat in like you're talking about, but i have used my 1890 this year to pull skiers and tubers and it worked great. plenty of punch, good control and visibility, turns tight, and able to run in that 20-30mph range. with the 4 seats in the cockpit we were able to accomodate all the riders even without a bench seat. a good idea would be to carry a boat ladder with you to ease getting in the boat from the water. Member Posts: 1040 Location: Stevens Point, WI | On the 1760 and 1890, both of these models have a 52' livewell in the very back and then also they is a storage compartment on the right side of the livewell for your oil reservoir. So, it would be kinda hard to to have a bench seat across the back. However, both of these boats include four pedestal seats so they can seat four people pretty comfortable if you wanted.
