Not a big deal for me, but came up with a maybe dumb question.

I got 3 units, all different, 332, 334, and 522. Each need an upgrade. Do I put all three on a chip and hope each units recognizes the correct upgrade or do I put 1 upgrade on one chip, update, then onto number 2 unit, etc.?

Mark, I believe you need to put each upgrade on a separate chip since you have all different versions to upgrade.

Yep, not a bad piece of insurance I figure. Nothing like a 522 with 332 upgrade. Makes for a sure mess. Thanks.

Mark-
According to their instuctions the safest and most economical way to do it
is to download, then transfer and erase and then repeat using the same chip.
There is a box to check if you wish to download then erase the chip. It will
take a bit longer but after the river freezes ( personally I hope it doesn`t )
there will be plenty of time. I have 6 downloads to do.

I hear ya tom. And thats the approach I am taking. The big issue seems to be the formating on those jumbo chips. I tried an upgrade on a 1gig and 4 gig no dice. I tried with my 500 meg and I am getting somewhere.

well all done with the updates. Thanks TJ and Tom. Worked out just fine.

And John, no problem. Piece of cake.

"Umm, I gonna have to ask you to leave the B&B box with the #7 shad raps on the boat while I am doing the upgrade"
ha!

You can put all the updates on one chip. The files have unique names that only that unit will recognize. Do not put different updates for the same unit on one chip.

Just finished up my 2.4 update for my 27's the other night and I must say, the 2.4 version seems to be very good. It's definitely better in shallow weeds.
