Hope it works out. Buy a few shanks whilst your there, and some heavy bell sinkers (or such depending on your program)..

I use an old short Muskie rod I think it's about 5' long it's very stiff not sure of the make.

I like useing a rod with some give so when I get hooked up it dont rip out the hooks. Also easier to see if something gets fouled up.

i use the 6ft ugly stick catfish rod. Works great.
