Hi guys, new to posting on the site, but lurking for a while. I figured this was a good group to ask this question to so here it goes. I have a Alumacraft Cometitor 160CS with a 90 horse on it. I have been using a 4 horse Evinrude as a kicker motor. It finally frustrated me enough to decide to get something larger. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1994 Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke. Will this motor be too much for my 16 ft boat? Will it troll down slow enough (<1mph)? It weighs about 100 pounds, will this be too much for my transom which is rated for a 100 horse? Let me know what you fellas think. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

Dan
