Subject: Daryl Christensen's Son In Haiti

FYI, my friend Daryl Christensen's son and family are in Haiti. They have been there as missionaries since last fall. Obviously, things are not stable there. Thinking of my grandchildren as being in Haiti is mind boggling. In fact, Daryl had been in Haiti not too long ago. I asked how Sean was doing and got this reply, then permission to forward. Something of this magnitude always hits close to home.

Day by day in Haiti. Sean is very busy and stretched beyond measure, but is holding his own. Things are not good anywhere there right now as shortages of water, food, fuel and money are taxing relief efforts outside of Port au Prince. We are raising funds as fast as we can. If he is evacuated, it will cost him a lot for plane tickets as they will be one-way and then he will have to buy them again one-way to get back after things calm down. He thought it would be upwards of $10,000 to get his family out and back again - money he doesn't have and money that isn't budgeted in his missions account. We are asking that people write checks to Sean Christensen for that need and we are depositing them in his account in Janesville. For Haiti relief, we are asking that people make out a check to World Team/Haiti Relief and we are sending those directly to World Team. Those funds will all be used now and for the future re-building of Haiti.
Thanks for your concern.
