Location: Orland Park, IL | Wow, after 4 years I think. Hard years too, 3 on bago, 1 on erie. Not sure whether they are just gettin dull blades (tried to sharpen the serated, but doesnt seem too sharp) or batteries are just dying. After a full charge, maybe 10 minutes full power, then quickly dwindling (did 3 walleyes this morning...pretty much dead battery). I expected more amps, but only has 7.5. Both batteries are pretty much doing the same thing.
I dont do anything fancy when I am cleaning fish. Faster the better. Not sloppy, but leave incidental trimming before dinner. I dont cut around the rib cage, but right through it, leaving only the top like 3 inches. Then cut out and zip.
I know how to work a blade, as I was a pork boner for 3 years (don't laugh..union gig), but just like how quickly I can get through a bunch of fish.
Would it be better to get new batteries and blades, or just put the new one on my christmas list?
