Minke & Chmielarczyk top the leaderboard after day 1 of the NWT on the Winnebago System. While many pros weighed their 5 fish limit, many couldn't quite contact that kicker fish to up their weight. Techniques varied from pitching jigs, pulling crawlers and cranks, to ripping blade baits. Most anglers were tight-lipped as to specifics, of course, but it seemed that there was no 'magic' technique or area, lots of moving and switching things up. Tomorrow will be completely different as far as weather goes, with a monsoon and 45 degree high temps in the forecast. Stay tuned for coverage of the final tournament day tomorrow.
