FLW Outdoors announces entry dates for 2006 Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour, FLW Walleye League Premier walleye circuit ups ante in 2006

BENTON, Ky. - FLW Outdoors, the world's premier fishing-tournament organization, announced Thursday the entry dates for its 2006 walleye-fishing tournament trails - the $2.69 million Wal-Mart FLW Walleye Tour and the $480,380 Wal-Mart FLW Walleye League.
The FLW Walleye Tour has upped the ante for 2006 with four, four-day $503,300 qualifying tournaments compared to three $471,000 qualifiers and a $542,000 open in 2005. Pros will now compete for a top award of as much as $100,000, including $60,000 cash plus $40,000 in cash contingency boat and engine bonuses in every qualifier compared to $40,000 cash and $50,000 in contingency bonuses last season. The no-entry-fee FLW Walleye Tour Championship also received a boost for 2006 with a total purse of $675,000, up from $650,000 in 2005. As a result, the top championship award is now $150,000, including $100,000 cash plus $50,000 in contingency bonuses, compared to $75,000 cash and $50,000 in contingency bonuses in 2005.
The top 50 pros and co-anglers from the 2005 FLW Walleye Tour and the top 10 boaters and co-anglers from each FLW Walleye League division in 2005 may register for the 2006 FLW Walleye Tour beginning Jan. 31, 2006. Premier sponsor boat owners may register beginning Feb. 6. Associate sponsor boat owners may register beginning Feb. 7. All other entries will be accepted beginning Feb. 8. Anglers who enter all four qualifying tournaments by Feb. 8 will be given priority over anglers who enter fewer than four events. Anglers who enter all four qualifying tournaments with a counterpart (pro or co-angler) will be given top priority. Entry fees are $1,360 per event for pros and $360 per event for co-anglers.
As a pathway to the FLW Walleye Tour, the FLW Walleye League features three divisions - Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin - with three, one-day $25,955 qualifying tournaments and one, two-day $34,945 super tournament per division. Boaters compete for a top award of as much as $4,000 in each qualifier and as much as $5,250 in each super tournament. The no-entry-fee FLW Walleye League Finals now features a $141,950 purse compared to $115,000 in 2005
Premier sponsor boat owners may register beginning Feb. 9. Associate sponsor boat owners may register beginning Feb. 10. All other entries will be accepted beginning Feb. 13.
