Anyone remember the name of the early 1970's fishing show host on the local Green Bay stations.  I don't think he was a local.  He may have even been in the late 60's

Being originally from Kenosha, the only fishing show host of a local show I can remember was Earl Gillespie of "Earl goes Fishing". I believe he is John's father.

I think he was a national fishing guide.  His shows were on fresh water fishing.  I used to watch his show every weekend.  He was an older guy.

Maybe Vern or Verg ?

I can't believe Jerry said he was from Kenosha, that's darn near being from IL.

I used to look forward to watching his show every week. I found the theme song, takes me back to when I was 7 years old arranging my mepps spinners, little cleos and daredevils in my one compartment tackle box.  Cleaning my Zebco 33 that came in a case.  I have a piece of driftwood in my office that has a few of my lures from when I fished with my Grandfather. Abu spinners, Red/white Cleos.

Would you all like to see a new local TV show that deals with the outdoors here in Wi? This show will be very informative and cutting edge compared to some of the catching and killing shows on TV now. The Reel Shot TV show will first air in April on Channel 11, Saturday mornings at 6:30/ You can get more details as they are posted on their web page, go to www.trsoutdoors.com for more details. The site is new and just getting up and working so be patient. John Schneider

Can I be the first guest??  You would only have to go a 1/2 mile and we could fish off my dock!

I hear the Walleye fishing is pretty good!   And I'll even provide a shoreline lunch!
