Here are some pics of the rigging I did on my 1890. This boat was very easy to work on.

Shep nice job.

One thing I found on mine, I found that I could move the thrttle ass forward about a 1 or 2" so I did not have to reach back so far.

Unbolt it and push the throttle forward so you have enough room to clear the dash, you should not see the holes from before.

ALso I ran my chords and cables for the bow mount thru a hole drilled by the motor and put one of those cable covers over the hole and ran my chords out under the cap. Cleans up the bow area.

I thought it made it more comfortable.

Nice work!!! How did you mount your radio. I am thinking I could mount my stereo the same way, and then put the speakers under the cap. Do tell Sir!

Norm,

Come down Sunday to the Pete, and prefish with me, and you can get a looksie!

That should work for a stereo, but I kinda like moreyes idea to mount it on the side of the console. Ranger did it that way for a couple years. I think marine speakers will fit in the hole covers on the backside of the deck. Kind like the lunds.

I also like how you mounted that marine band. If I'm there on Sunday I'll look for ya. I'll try and post a few pics of my 2060 rigging.

i used your idea...thanks!
drilled a 1 3/4" hole in the bow cap and used one of those computer cable collectors to finish it off nicely. turned out great and no mess of cords.

the access under the bow cap is sooo nice for rigging. everything is out of sight under there, including the NMEA bus; just zip-tie/and peg the wires up under the cap to run them back to the breaker box and everything is clean and neat.

fitting the wide screen sonar/gps inside the curve of the windshield was a trick. the nice thing about the ease of access under the console is that it's easy to put some big washers on the back side of the ram-mount to make sure it'll be rock hard stable.
the new Humminbirds come with a cord collector, nice detail.

i'm always nervous when mounting transducers that it's not going to be at the right level or will be somewhere there's bad water coming off the boat.
this spot worked great, it held the bottom easily in 70 feet even at high speed.

Here are some close ups of my new Tom Backer Mounting of the X-111. I changed the angle some, and added a strut rod to the outside for support. She's solid now.
