I hope to see the boat landings improve this year if they plan on taking another 25.00 of my money. Winnebago county boat landings including Boom Bay, Eureka, Asylum Bay, just to name a few will require a fee for launching effective Tuesday May 6. Fees are going to be 4.00 per day or 25.00 a year for resident and 35.00 for non.
What really sucks is that I have a city permit that allows me to launch a boat 2 miles down from Asylum Bay, but I cant launch my boat right down the road from my house. Like I said the landings better improve if they plan opn taking money from people!!!!

I use the Grundman Landing a lot and it's only about a mile down the road from my house. I would rather see a permit that would have included municipal landings anywhere in the county.Maybe that would be too much of a fund sharing problem though. I asked the lady where the money for the county landings goes and was told it was for a fund to maintain the landings and nothing else. That's ok by me. User fees are becoming commonplace these days. My only question is where does the money for non compliance go? If someone is ticketed for not having a permit I hope the fine money goes to the fund and not to the county's general fund.

My concern is everytime I go to use Menomonee Park landing, the stalls are always full with single cars. The sign there clearly says parking for vehicles with trailer only, but they are full of single vehicles without a trailer. Everytime I can't find a spot due to single cars taking all the spaces I call the police. I guess they gave a few warnings last year, but I am sure the same thing will happen again this year.

I want to know how the landings were maintained before this. That was all covered under our taxes and some money coming from the state. What are they going to do with that money now?????????

I wondering the same thing also, why all of a sudden do they need 25 dollars. are tax payers not paying for it any longer? There better be some improvements, restrooms, fish cleaning facilites, dumpsters. ect I hope we are not paying for county parks to clean up after those idiots thet are tearing up the lawns at county park and asylum bay. I'd like to see some stiff penalties for damage to county parks, state lands, ect. Some one needs to set an example and ticket a couple people for this stuff, word will get around. It's getting out of hand.

I new that the day would come,to pay to launch.Greenbay was charging 10 years ago. There have been a lot of improvements to those launches, and I hope the same thing happens here.I would like to also see the No-Wake zone extended in the mouth of the river in Oshkosh, out another 100 yards from the train bridge. Some tickets,by Menominee Park launch are definately due.If I here one more ball player tell me his tax money pays for the lot I may start calling the cops also. What is the reason for the city to shut down the launch,to put up a fair, anyway. With all the space they have in the area, someone could shurely come up with a better spot. What about another launch, across from the Pioneer Inn,on the North side?Or how about another dock by Fuegleburg park.If I'm going to have to but 2 or 3 launching permits, then I also want something for my money. Can anyone tell me where I can find out what last years money was spent on?...hafe

The sticker goes on the windshield of your truck.

Hafe,
I would think your Fla. trip would have mellowed you out. Instead, you come off all cranky here :). How about starting a new thread and filling us in your trip?
Take care,

The sticker is what I have the problem with.

Like a State Park sticker.

We use different trucks all the time.

Mine is down.

So if we want to go, need to tow the boat, and where is that sticker I bought??

Why it is a home, on the window of my truck, that it is where the sticker goes.

Just wish it was a pass, but that would not bring in the most money.

Also, what the the baseball players up there going to have to pay to park in the Trailer parking spaces.
Nothing against them, just they take up the spaces we are now directly renting for the day.
You guys know where I am talking about.
Use of Rest Room fees??
That is part of the launch fees I belive, So will all of them get porta johns?
