Location: Darboy USA | Anyone know why my X27 wouldn't be picking up my chip when I put it in and go to map data? I can scroll down to that, but the only option is the built in Lowrance map. Little things like that keep happening to this unit and either it needs a full update or I'm going to switch to a Bird....... |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | How new is the chip? More than likely the chip is too new or it got wet somehow and it's no longer working. If it's a chip you've always used, try it in another unit. |

Location: Darboy USA | It worked fine last year, it's a Lakemaster 2010. I also tried my Lakemaster 2007 and that didn't work either? I don't think the chips are both bad? |

| First gotta try the cards in another unit. my guess its the X27 Get online and get ahold of a serious hardcore lowrance guy to do a hard reset. guys know those X27's pretty good. if that doesn't work then get the puppy on ebay... |

| First try another unit with your chip, try sliding the chip in and out a couple times contacts maybe dirty, and try a soft reset next

Location: Darboy USA | Okay, tried different cards and different units and it seems that my Navionics chip works in the X27, but neither Lakemaster cards?? The lakemaster cards don't work in my handheld either? How can 2 LM cards that worked last fall not work now?? Anyone, anyone??
I don't like my Navionics chip for the X27 so kind of defeats the purpose of having a card. Is there a fix for the LM cards that can get them to work in my X27? |

| Did the LM cards work last year? If not, I'm sure you know this but you never know. There are LM cards specific for HB and LOW. When my LM chips load I still have to go to the map data and select them. They are listed as Lowrance, not LM. I will get on my unit and look at exactly what it says and update you tomorrow. |

| Maybe got wet or got by some odd electrical source and corrupted them? I don't think there is a fix for them, you could call LM and get their thoughts? |

| Is it possible someone stuck them into any sd reader other then a graph?
camera, computer, printer, phone ect....
Many devices will ping a read/write off those cards and I bieleve they are setup to fail when this occurs..

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Yep, pretty sure I covered this all in my first couple posts. The card is bad, not the unit. I never take my cards out unless it's absolutely necessary.
