| Fishing slowed a bit but we caught some nice fish on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. LOTS of frogs returning to the river right now making for some pretty easy meals for the walleye. Look for fishing to get better once we get a couple of COLD nights, forcing the frogs to dig in and eliminating the food source. There's some dandy fish around. |

Location: Fremont, Wisconsin | Horshak, the only way to learn the river is to get on the river. go slow, there is deep water somewhere in the river, you just need to find the line. Dont use that whole motor up there that you just bought, look closely. |

| Yes, the boats are concentrated between Northport and New London. As far as your prop, keep the motor trimmed up until you find the deep water downstream and opposite of the ramp. The only other place you might get in trouble is if you stay too far left on the first long STRAIGHT stretch along HYW X. Stay to the right, 20 yards or so off the woods. After "the big eddie" the only mistake you can make is cutting a corner on one of the bends or being too zelous putting it back on the trailer. As far as the fish, there are nice pockets of walleye on just about any five mile stretch from Lake Poygan to the Old River. I've been picking different areas based on wind and looking to keep in touch with a school of the right fish. I fish it all this time of year in case one area turns in to a bunch of dinks just before ice up.

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Joel and Stacker, thanks for the info. I never fished above Gill's landing. I know the river pretty well from Fremont to Poygan. And believe me Stacker, I would not try and use the whole motor on the wolf after last Sunday's experience on the Fox. WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA! This thing is all power. I love it! | Got out Sat afternoon in the Orahula area. All we caught were a few small white bass and I do mean small. ( 4 or 5 inchers ) Had a few other light hits. Talked to some of the other fisherman on the river and no one was doing anything. What happend to the white bass run like we had last fall. Where are the eye's we usually start catching frequently this time of the year? Is it still going to happen? I hate to put up the boat for the winter yet but its looking more and more like thats the thing to do. I will be watching the posts and if anyone is doing anything please let us know. |

| I'd bet water temps are well above what they were last year. This has got to be the warmest the water has ever been in November! Not sure of the affect on the Wolf Walleyes, but I do believe it has affaected the Fox River eyes, and Muskies! |

Was a very slow period last year too until it got real cold. Crappie have been biting better though. Change is on the way. |
