Location: Rhinelander | The weather conditions are near perfect today as the 154 teams head out on the river, with slightly rising water and mild temps under partly cloudy skies and light winds. It's almost anyone's game if a walleye (or two) ends up in the basket. Most of the teams we talked to this morning are going to do a carbon copy repeat of yesterday's plan, hoping at least one bite is an 'eye. Average weight for 5 saugers may shift a team a few places, but to come from behind as far as the middle of the pack would only take one big fish. The weigh in begins at 3 PM, so watch for a full report soon after. WalleyeFIRST tournament coverage is brought to you by Lund Boats! Love it. Great job Steve. Any insight regarding the techniques that are working? Also, is that Puccio in the truck with the Tuffy decal?

Location: Rhinelander | Every technique available is in use. There's no particular technique that seems to be dominating, but everyone has been pretty quiet about what technique is working for them. That will change at today's weigh in!

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | I understand, and all that hard work is appreciated. If you come to bago we will have to hit the town one night. The bass boat was a blast and I am looking forward to using it more this year. We had passed everyone before the clam beds. Mark had to change his underpants every night and sometimes twice during the day.

Member Posts: 192 | It was a pretty intense ride to say the least. You do get used to it after a while though. I give a lot of credit to Rich for being a great driver. Driving a bass boat is nothing like a walleye boat. Rich did his homework and logged lots of hours in that boat by himself learning how to drive it. By the end, I felt very safe with him driving. Basscat builds a hell of a boat. It was great for vertical jig fishing the river. If anybody wants an adrenaline rush, give Rich a call.

Member Posts: 921 Location: Manitowoc, WI | Let's see that pic Rich so I know who to follow during the Merc Nationals this year. I may not be able to keep up but I might be able to keep you in sight. Unless of course it's rough, then I'll smooth it out for ya! LOL!

Member Posts: 2300 Location: Berlin | I have not had the occasion yet where I could not run 60 on Winnebago (I am sure that time will come though). The next time it is blowing 20+ mph give me a call. It will be an eye opening (butt puckering) experience. Not all bass boats are created equal and that is the biggest reason I chose Bass Cat.
