Member Posts: 164 | AKA Freshwater Ling too, I think? Anyway, if they are even close to being as tasty as Ling cod, a saltwater eel-like fish common to the Pacific Northwest, you are in for a treat. I packed on plenty of poundage while spending time in the Pac-West eating Ling cod and chips. Dave Landahl [email protected]

Member Posts: 1382 | Here's a pic of an eelpout. We used to catch them alot lake trout fishing in Canada. We see them on the Mississippi River down here every few winters. When they show up there's usually alot of them. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Member Posts: 166 Location: Freedom, WI | Sorry about that, I caught that on a tip up Northern fishing this weekend and some guy told me it was a lawyer, I thought lawyers were slimier and different looking, but he said it was a Lawyer. Oh well, it was a big surprise at the end of my line after pulling up a 31" Northern in the same hole 15 minutes prior to that!
