Location: Rhinelander | Brisk but manageable winds and warming temperatures into the low 50's should improve what has been a tough bite for most FLW Pros in prefish out on Lake Erie of Port Clinton, Ohio. South winds are forecast to hit 15 this afternoon, but should then diminish from 2PM on.
Most of the Pros reported an improving bite, and there were reports of a couple prefish baskets with a 7# average. Muddy water and temps that are below normal were repressing what is nationally recognized as one of the best Spring big fish bites in the country, but the lake is settling out and waters are warming, which according to Toyota/Ranger pro Pat Neu and Toyota Lund Pro Ted Takasaki will improve the bite as the event progresses.
Winds tomorrow forecast to be even more moderate, and tems might hit 60 degrees inland.
Watch for WalleyeFIRST Video, our daily image gallery, and more this morning, and make sure to login the the only Live Audio Interactive Live leader board on the web to catch the weigh in this afternoon. FLW's Mark Dorn said the weigh in should get underway by about 3:20 PM central, so login early and get a good seat!
