| The winds were exactly as forecast, but that didn't stop the top ten from bringing fish to the scales. Ted Takasaki sat in the Leader Hot Seat in the Land O Lakes Ranger at the front of the stage as Kelly Klemm, Day Three leader, approached he scales. One fish at a time out of a black weigh bag Kelly pulled 5 fish and enough weight to hold his lead and take the win for $80,000.00. Kelly reported he was pitching/vertical jigging 1/4 ounce jigs and minnows today, the pattern that got him through the first three days and into the Top ten holding a 2 pound plus lead.
Ted Takasaki took second with a solid performance today. Ted said his new Verado powered Lund, sporting a 60 gallon fuel tank, allowed him to make his run in as much a hurry as he needed no matter the wind and waves and get back in with plenty of fuel to spare. Ted was using bottom bouncers and crawlers to put his Eye's in the Lund.
Scott Fairbairn held his own getting five hits...and netting 5 walleyes to take third.
