We had two of the PAA Board members on our radio show tonight, Chad Morgenthaler the Vice President, and the Secretary John Crews.

Fascinating stuff. The PAA has been developing their own tournament series for about 4 years. They started with The Texas Toyota Bass Classic and worked diligently to procure big money sponsors and coverage.

Their tournaments will be aired on the World Fishing Network and Versus. Their Championship, the Texas Toyota Bass Classic will air on CBS.

They also had the communities around the locations where they are having their three tournament series come to them and ask them to come and have events.

Their view is to have complimentary events that offer an added opportunity for PAA anglers to have a good chance to promote themselves and their sponsors, while benefiting the industry as a whole. They are also totally pro BASS and FLW and worked with those two organizations to ensure the PAA events didn't interfere with the BASS Elite or FLW Tour events.

They modeled their events somewhat along the lines of the PGA, according to Morgenthaler.
