Out from the Lure on Monday. Had never fished Petenwell before but we found some very nice crappies along the edge of the channel in 18'. Morning was better action and tip-ups performed better than jigging; emerald shiners produced better than rosies on the tip-ups. As the day progressed, jigging w/ Forage Minnow tipped with a rosie head was more productive than tip-ups. Also got one whitie and lost a short eye at the hole, both on tip-ups.

There was about 6" of water right off the landing and some standing water on the lake. I imagine that the cold temps will tighten everything back up in a day or 2.
