I'd like to get an idea of the differences in these 2 models. I don't have dealer access to look at them so some feedback would be great. Other than the length difference what are the performance differences? Is there a noticeable difference in the fishability, how they handle rough water, etc.?

I run an 02 1700, great boat for two people, works ok for three. I fish out of a friend's 1760 quite a bit as well, fishes three people much better, and the 150 HP rating doesn't hurt either. Overall, if you're fishing two people most of the time, the 1700 is fine, but if you plan on fishing three alot, go for the 1760.
