Subject: Fiberglass boat

My buddy picked up a new fiberglass boat. Well today we were out fishing and noticed the port side gunnel is about 1 1/2" closer to the deck then the starboard side. We tried to slide a boat cushion under the port side gunnel and it was snug same boat cushion under the starboard side we had about 1 1/2 gap. Is this standard room for error on a fiberglass boat? Thanks

Location: Rhinelander
Might be intentionally designed that way.
