Location: Rhinelander | Cloudy skies and calm conditions met the field today at launch, and it looks to be about the same all day today. Most of the teams we spoke with this morning are expecting the bite to improve a bit despite the flat seas. The field starts weigh in at 2 PM, but some may weigh in early if the bite remains constant with yesterday. We should have the full report up soon after the awards presentation. Location: Rhinelander | Brian Arneson and Christopher Pickhardt took home the first place plaques and a check for $13,000.00 weighing a two day total of 36.08. Brian and Chris trolled crankbaits, adapted to changing conditions, and put two good days together to take the win over second place Kahut and Walser by .32 pounds. In third were Popp and Popp with 35.58, fourth were Strehlow and Schneider with 35.54, and Case and Olson rounded out the top five with 35.52. To say the top five weights were close is...well, an understatement. Most of the fish were caught trolling cranks. As was the case yesterday, a few really impressive weights were taken jigging. The rest, because of Otter Street next weekend, remains a mystery. TFM Leaderboard .
