Hey Doc, with the heat and low water, any suggestions for summer walleyes. I have caught a few nice ones along rocky shorelines early mornings on shad raps. I fish mostly around Weilands. Pike fishing has been tremendous this summer many fish 36" and a few 38"'s I am still looking for that 40+ I know that they are in there.

Some areas in the river near marshes (where there is a big marsh on theother side of the bank) have clam beds or "springs" that will hold walleye. A jig and a leech works. Another thing I do is to look at any tree that is over deep water or on an outside bend and probe it with a Lindy Timbr' Rock jig tipped with a leech.
