Looking to put my new radio/antenna in a different boat, and i would like to run the cord right down throught the fiberglass right to the radio, is there a decent way to cut the end off the cord and reattach it so i dont have to drill such a big hole? I know I tried that once with a cb antenna cord and i made a mess and ended up throwing it away...

thanks

Shakespeare makes a solderless connector. PL-259, I think is the number. Pretty straight forward assembly, and it works great. Mine is still good after 4 years. Boat US, West Marine have them. Cabela's should. I don't know about Gander, Fleet Farm, or Sportsman's warehouse.
