| Crestliner/Mercury Pro Bruce 'Doc' Samson had a plan. He was slip bobbering with light jigs in 7', all by himself. He left immediately after the weigh in last night to get 5 pounds of leeches, because of the Rock Bass and Perch, and the walleyes he was catching.
'This was a technology win for me', Doc said, going on to explain the system he put in place last winter to win this event. Watch for the wrap up video interview with Doc very soon.
The first place finish was worth $55000 in cash and prizes.
Tracker/Mercury Pro Daryl Christensen had two good fish, but couldn't get the bites he needed to pass Doc in the final day. He was fishing spoons in 7' to 13', also something almost no one else in the field was doing.
The final day album will be up soon, watch the WalleyeFIRST Main page for the album and pictures.
