Anglers Insight Marketing LLC (AIM™) is pleased to announce the formation of a new tournament circuit aimed squarely at the grass-roots walleye angler.

The newly formed AIM Weekend Walleye Series will feature exciting team style competition with anglers competing in several states including Minnesota and Wisconsin. These events will showcase AIM’s revolutionary Catch-Record-Release™ (CRR) tournament format where anglers will measure, photograph, and immediately release all walleyes caught. Since no fish are kept, this unique and exciting tournament format allows AIM™ to hold highly competitive events on waters with restrictive slots or other regulations that make these waters less attractive to tournament anglers. Minnesota’s famed Mille Lacs Lake is a prime example, and AIM’s revolutionary CRR format will guarantee great competition on this heavily regulated fishery with minimal impact to the lake’s resources. “There are a bunch of anglers who have waited a long time to get after the big slot fish in Mille Lacs and have them count in a tournament,” says AIM Board of Directors member Jim Carroll. “We are very excited to finally give them the opportunity in 2014. “

Anglers Insight Marketing™ has been holding high profile walleye tournaments across the country since 2009, and the cutting edge AIM Pro Walleye Series will also continue in 2014. “We saw a real need in the industry for professionally run, grassroots level events for weekend warriors,” says AIM Board Member Brett King. “And we have refined our CRR process to the point where we are comfortable bringing this format to team style tournaments.”

The AIM Weekend Walleye Series will feature low entry fees and lucrative payouts with fair competition for all contestants. Event details and schedules are being finalized, and more information will soon be available at www.aimfishing.com

Anglers Insight Marketing, LLC (AIM™) is a unique tournament organization which is owned by stockholders, the majority of which are Professional walleye anglers. AIM Professionals are among the All Stars of professional fishing, with cumulative HUNDREDS of years of tournament experience, including countless tournament victories, series championships, and Angler of the Year titles. This insight and knowledge is now being employed to provide the finest tournament experience for the participants, and the maximum exposure for the host tournament sites and corporate partners.

AIM Marketing Partners: Yamaha Marine, Nitro Boats, Navionics, Power Pole, Worldwide Marine Insurance and The City of Oconto.

I wonder if they might be taking over the Midwest Walleye Series?

Sounds interesting, should be interesting to see where this leads.

Does "team style" mean teams, or boater/co's?

Partners format, not a pro/co format.

I love, thought about and even suggested this (Joe Blow Versus the Pro format) long ago. Making it teams is even better. I hope it catches on and is supported by both the entrants and the local fans of good local fishermen alike.

Fills a big void once FLW League left.

That's probably the best analogy yet, the FLW Walleye League was similarly run other than CRR. Looks like it will be Minnesota and Wisconsin, and as long as they stick to the core of Walleye country, they should get good fields...IF...the cost is not too high.

Huh? There are plenty of partner circuits; MWS, MWC, MTT. I don't see this filling the boater/co void left by FLW League. I see it competing with existing circuits with except with the CRR format.

The new AIM circuit appears to be scheduling events in more than one state, and probably will field a fair number of the NWT anglers teamed up, but doesn't appear to be looking to go 'national' like the MWC.

We'll see.

The new AIM circuit is not being created to compete with the MWC. The new circuit, as stated in the press release, is a weekend circuit, with a one day format, a lower entry fee than the MWC, and replaces the MWS which, at this time, is no longer being run.

Sorry to hear that the MWS is gone. Makes the case for this circuit even stronger. Rest in peace Jim.

Has there been an anouncement on the MWS? Where did you get that information?

In regard to the MWS, all I can say is what Jean and Ray said at the championship banquet. They cannot run the series themselves as they both have full time jobs away from the MWS/TFM. Jim handled all the networking with sponsors, which I can imagine can be time consuming. Also they were working with some parties interested in purchasing the series.

Finally in the last issue of Midwest Outdoors, TFM still had an ad for the MWS that had wording something along the lines of "2014 Schedule - Stay Tuned."

Don't put a fork in MWS yet. Their format will change.

Sounds like an ideal place to put Sunshine, the new HMFWIC of the MWS.
