The weather did indeed kick the Bite into high gear on Erie today, and many of the Pros took full advantage weighing baskets in the mid 30# range all the way to 45#. Spinners and cranks trolled slowly seemed to be the rule, with many of the Pros talking about contacting the active fish high in the water column.

John Swanstrom leads the Top Ten into the final day with 122 pounds, an incredible three day weight averaging over 40 # per day. The rest of the Top Ten look like this:
LARRY SMITH
ERIK FURSETH
DAVID FREY
CHAD SCHILLING
RICK FRANKLIN
KEVIN MICHNICKI
ROBERT HENTON
DAN STIER
PETE HARSH

The Final Day begins tomorrow at 7 AM Eastern. Weather looks very good, and the bite should, if one might even try to imagine this, improve even more as more big walleyes come off the spawn and go to the feed bag.

Watch WalleyeFIRST for morning interviews and action from the opening ceremonies from the FLW Lake Erie final day, and join us in the interactive Live Leaderboard tomorrow at about 2:45 PM for the live weigh in from the Wal Mart parking lot in Port Clinton, Ohio.

I think Schilling or Stier will take this one, but Larry Smith or Rick Franklin are also definitely due for a big one too. It's awful hard to have four days like Swanstrom has had the past three, but good luck to him and all of the top ten. It's going to be one heck of a shoot out.
