Location: Rhinelander | Anglers Insight Marketing Published July 4, 2009 Brett King headed out on to the Bay of Green Bay this morning with a plan. he said in a morning interview he intended to get his seven in the lower Bay, and stay there until he was comfortable he was going to hold his own against the rest of a very talented field. He was then going to get out into the big water and try to swing for the fence and upgrade with a 30" fish or two. Brett executed perfectly this morning, and headed out to the big water only to strike out on the big fish bite. Late this afternoon, he headed back into the lower Bay...and upgraded a few of his morning fish! The weigh in had progressed to the last few anglers, and Brett was holding down the top spot after defeating Robert Blosser's total when the last challenger, Dennis Gulau took the stage. Dennis left the dock this morning in first, in a near dead heat with the top six. It was immediately evident Dennis had not done as well as he had hoped, and when his total came up on the MC Monitor, Tommy Skarlis announced Brett King had won. The AIM Bay of Green Bay win was Brett King's first major tour win. He took the title pulling cranks under conditions he described as 'not alot of fun' after a major cold front had stirred up the Bay and scattered weeds all along the surface. Brett described the technique in a morning interview with AIM, and talked about the win with AIM this evening. Robert Blosser ended the tournament in second a couple pounds back, and Dennis Gulau ended in third. Rich Boggs, Chad Schilling, Scott Allen, Jason Przekurat, Todd Riley, Jon Tennessen, and Tom Gatzke rounded out the top ten. On August 13-15, 2009, the AIM Pro Walleye Series™ will travel to Akaska, South Dakota to fish the expansive Missouri River. AIM will partner with the South Dakota Walleye Classic to stage a huge regional event. Anglers will have literally hundreds of square miles of the fertile Missouri River to explore. This event will place teams on the river at the peak of the late summer bite and will provide exiting competition with no slot limit restrictions or culling limitations. Anglers Insight Marketing, LLC™ (AIM) is a unique tournament organization which is owned by stockholders, the majority of which are Professional walleye anglers. AIM Professionals are among the "All Stars" of professional fishing, with cumulative HUNDREDS of years of tournament experience, including countless tournament victories, series championships, and Angler of the Year titles. This insight and knowledge is now being employed to provide the finest tournament experience for the participants, and the maximum exposure for the host tournament sites and corporate partners. ------------------ Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Member Posts: 538 | Brett was my final day partner in the Red Wing FLW event this year and I am happy to have made his aquaintance. He was in the hunt going into the final day and is a good guy with which to fish. I am sure he will savor the win on Green Bay after years of close calls. I too have installled seats purchased from Brett and they have made all the difference allowing me to spend time on the big water after back surgeries. Congratulations to Brett on his win. Take care, Jim O
