It was last Friday 11-12-10. Took us a while to find them, but we went 7 for 9 from 10:30am to 1:00pm. The fall bite is very late and has just started. They are in small schools right now, so when you hit a fish it's very imperative you turn on a dime and go back over your plotter course. S.L.O.W. trolling (1.5 to 1.7) Storm T-stick Juniors. And yes, it was about as flat as you'll ever see Saginaw Bay. The walleye bite has been so dead for so long on the inner Bay, (thus the title) I was wondering if I'd ever catch another walleye before I died. ![]() Me and a friend also went spoon jigging for some white fish last night off the Tawas pier and went 17 for 23. I got a little surprise in the form of a 31 inch EEL POUT or Burbot as we call them. They are fairly rare for us to catch, but the makings of a Cajun fish boil is scheduled one day this week. Last one I caught was 22 years ago, just a little ways from this one in the Tawas River. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]() | ||
