One of the last places to finally freeze up I bet! After having open water all week it sealed up on Thursday. I was fortunate to get in on some great action before the weekend warriors showed up. The word got out after just a day and a half of great fishing. Numerous fish today actually too many to count very steady action in am and pm but mid day nuttin! Before sun up I got into a nice 27" but everything else was 15-18". There are a number of NICE muskies in this water too! Ice is still questionable and I wouldn't recomend anyone going out before dark If you don't know exactly where your going and what your doing. I watched 2 guys get wet up to the waist and just laughed then wouldn't ya know it I did the same thing. Those of you that know me may know where and may have been there yourself today. It seemed as if another hole would have been drilled the whole lot of us could have gotten wet!
Good Luck

Tyee, sounds exactly like where we were for the last 3 days, had a guy poke that last hole yesterday and there went the ice to sagging and water coming out of the holes, luckily most of them backed off, leaving my kids and myself to keep hammering slabs and monster gills. We were not on the same body of water as you but Geneva is red hot right now.Goimg back out this early afternoon. We are not packer fans, well now we are,but slabs are more important than watching NFC North champs do it again.Go pack, man can't believe I said it. I went fishing yesterday too, ignoring the game. Got a bucket bottom covered pretty well with crappies and gills, too. I nearly had the lake to myself.
