to many of you. But as I have increased my tackle, and many of them being the same type..e.g. hot-n-tot, reef runer, etc. I am running out of space in my tackle box for each item to be in a tray by itself, would you put like items together or buy more storage boxes, to keep each lure in a spot by itself?

Sealine,

I think most people (myself included) store 2, 3 or 4 lures together in compartments. I use the Plano 3700 boxes for cranks, and to keep each crankbait individually I would probably have 30 or 40 boxes instead of the 12 or 13 that I carry. I categorize baits together in boxes by brand, type and color to make it easier (i.e. Reefrunner, Deep Little Ripper, copper/gold colors or Ripstick natural colors).

I also carry 2, 3 or 4 (minimum of 2) alike of a few basic colors rather than one of every color.

The new CDS 7331 Plano boxes have allowed me to keep lures seperated and organized. They are about half the thickness of the 3700 series. I have found that a drop of super glue on the dividers is neccesary to keep the them in place.
