The bite has really picked up as of late, we experienced a great sauger bite Saturday. Put a limit of decent males in the box and released a handfull of females, Had a few eyes mixed in also.Seemed to me like the bigger males preffered a slowly trolled stickbait over vertically jigged presentations. Man I love this time of year.

Loren,
Are you using three ways to get that lure down? We had some great fishing in the past using jointed raps and slowly moving up-stream. Jon

Jon,
Yes, I am useing my standard three way rig to get my sticks to the bottom. Works really well on the river.
