Buddy and I were out today, didn't fish much cuz my buddy swallowed his copenhagen on the way out and he ended up chumming fish for a couple of hours. I didn't even know he chewed! I just thought he was always eating brownies cuz he always had this brown s#@^ all over his teeth! Ended up with one freshwater drum and a boat floor full of puke.

Was out Saturday in front of Oconto, we could'nt keep the walleyes off 4 1/2 hours of fishing we ended up with around 30 or more these are the ones we got in the boat, biggest was 29,2-28,1-just over27,4-just over 25, 4-23,6-22,3-21,5-20,4-18,2-17, and the best part of the whole B-Day is that they are all still swimming.

I was on vacation with some fishing buddies in northern Door County this weekend. We met Friday night at the camp after fishing different spots on the way up. Saturday we all launched at Sister Bay and several of us fished off of Dykesville Sunday on the way back.

Friday on the way up we fished Larson's reef. The bite was slow. We only caught a few on crawler harnesses. I kept a 22 inch eye that was hooked in the gill. A couple of other guys that also stopped at Larson's on the way up did get into some active eyes (fish fry size). I released a huge 21+ inch small mouth.

Saturday we convoyed to Sister Bay. Three boats, including the one I was riding in fished around the Sister Islands. Only three eyes total caught by two of the three boats there and all three fish came out of one little spot on the reef. They were 29 1/2 inches and two 29 inchers. The guys in the other boats decided to fight the waves and fished Chambers Island and other areas. They hit some active fish, both walleyes and northerns. The eyes were mostly eaters, but one 33 incher was caught that is going on the wall.

Sunday, on the way back, we fished the reef off of Dykesville with three boats. We could only stay for a few hours and didn't pick up a fish. One of the other boats did pick up two small eyes just before we had to leave.

Fished Green Island on Friday morning. Got 6 gobies and a 4lb catfish on bottom bouncers and the higher lines did not produce a lick. The general consensus at the watering hole(s) was that it has been slow but is picking up. On a positive note, golf was good!
