Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Tommy Harris has been at it again. I'm not sure how he comes up with all of these new designs. I have attached 2 picts of some of his new creations. If you would like to see more, he will be at the Green Bay Show on March 6th and 7th in the Tews Two booth. I know that many of you have bought his products in the past and you are always looking to replace those secret blades, spoons or in-lines that were lost to that state record. Maybe we should start making a wish list on this thread on what we are hoping he has at the show.
I hope he brings some of those left and right hatchet blades in perch, purple, and battery acid green colors. Attachments ---------------- ![]() ![]()

SS - any pics of the new blades? What makes 'eyes smack these pieces of art? The spider? The web?

They're shiny, so they're guaranteed to catch fishermen, not necessarily fish!!

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | mwcer, I'm not sure what you are insinuating BUT I guarantee you that these creations are from Tommy Harris. SS, I'll see if I can convince Tommy into showing a few of the new designs. Put these in the water and you'll know why fish attack them. They have a reflective glow about them similar to a baitfish when they dart.

Nice! But do they still lose their paint? I bought a few last year and they are all almost bare metal now. Bummer for the price you pay.

How come I get this feeling that you are the same anonymous poster from another sight. Have an ax to grind?
What do other regulars unafraid to post their name think?

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | I believe that Tommy is working on a web page that should be out soon. I did a search for the weights on the Tews Two and Franks web pages and came up empty.
I have an array of different sizes but I am uncertain what Tommy has in store for 2009.

Member Posts: 201 Location: Colgate, WI | Tommy's blades are top notch! This man knows how to paint blades. The problem I have with his inlines is that the fish are hitting the weight instead of the hooks.:) Keep up the great work Tommy and remember you will always have someone out there that dosen't like something.:) Take care, Stinger

Member Posts: 48 Location: Beloit | I'll agree with you Sunshine the quality and fine work of those products has not been a problem for me. I've pulled them for weeks thru alot and have never seen a problem. (Except)Ed at Tew's Too is always sold out of my favorite colors when I'm in town. Hope to meet up with Tommy to restock at the Deerfield ILL. Outdoor Show at the High School this weekend.

Member Posts: 80 Location: Lake Erie | I've put some Harris blades through some 30-50 fish days on Erie and multiple days at that and have yet to see one chip of paint come off, quality blades, my only gripe is they should all be deep cup and have more sizes and colors available to people who want to buy online.

I personally hate to see someone’s product, I don't care what it is hammered on a public forum. If someone has a problem with a product make a simple free call to the company involved and it can be easily taken care of. As for the chipped and peeled paint on Tommy’s products I find this hard to believe as I have used a lot of the products he has put out. Yup, someone has an axe to grind in my book. Pay no attention to those posts that are written by an unregistered person, usually there is more going on behind the scenes are troublesome posts. To bad this happens to companies but it does, and it has happened to me as well. Skeeter

Member Posts: 859 Location: Appleton wi | I know what you guys are saying about a hook on the inline...........out on the bay while trolling harness I'v had some big fish hit my blade and not touch the crawler. I'v always believed in JAWs and i know that 17lbs eye crunched my blade and had it for breakfast!

Member Posts: 2393 Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | eye Lunker: I've had the same thing happen with the in-lines. Here's a little secret, add an o ring and a treble and you have a great jigging spoon. FYI, Tommy does make bigger blades too!

Member Posts: 3899 | I always run a TH blade when out on Green Bay. I have a few favorites, and they have lasted very well. Always have that sparkle and shine. Never had an issue with chipping. I also wish he would offer them in deep cut style Colorado. Overall, I think they are quality blades.

Speaking of blades and weights, you guys should check out the stuff from Custom Angler. This site just popped and it looks like great stuff AND you can order it all online for a pretty reasonable price. I really like their inline weights, different from anything else I've seen anywhere. www.customangler.com
