| I do alot of rigging in Wisconsin. I know were moving pretty slow when rigging, but has anyone dropped another line or two off the back or side of the boat with a crank or swimbait, probably with a snap weight or three-way. I would think if you reeled it up just a few cranks off the bottom to prevent snags this might be a decent idea where you can use multiple poles per angler and have another lure in the zone. Thoughts or ideas on how to perfect this or what kind of setup to run and lures?
Thanks,

| I've never done what you've suggested. My thought is if you were rigging, you're probably moving to slow to get the cankbait or swimbait to work like it is intended. I always tend to try and get as many lines in the water that is feasible for the presentation and legal. When I'm rigging or jigging, I usually drag two rigs/jigs and double fist it. If you're not comfortable with that, set up a dead rod (or two) with some sort of three way rig or bottom bouncer to drag while you rig. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Chad, yes, you can rig at .5 to 1 mph and also troll at the same time with the right equipment. I've done both and have been successful. If you haven't already got any, get some Mack's Lure Wally Pops and some Smile Blades. The Wally Pops and Cha Cha Rigs have a floater on them with a Smile blade and with the other Smile Blades you can run a crawler harness with your own choice of colors. Now the info that makes this work. Mack's Smile blades will still spin at the lowest speed you can go including a drift. The milar plastic material is very lightweight and you can also adjust the pitch of the blade by simply pinching it together. These blades can be run slow or fast. If you are in the area, let me know and I will let you test run some of these. |

| Thanks for the response. I know trying to run cranks at that speed would probably be difficult, does anyone know of any cranks that might have decent action at very slow slow speeds, to maybe make this work?
