Is there much of a difference between regular plastic beads and the faceted ones ? Also where is the best place to buy beads ?

Thanks

The faceted beads have flat surfaces which result in more reflective area on the bead. They will kind of sparkle in the water. The pre-rigged harnesses I buy from Jann's Netcraft come with Red round beads. I replace them all with 6mm faceted beads. My favorite colors are Lime Green,Red,Chartruese Yellow,Chartruese Green,Purple, and Blue. The only time I use round beads is when using Glow beads. Reflection is not an issue with these since they generate their own light. They can be bought at any craft store. As a suggestion, I would recommend you get a small Plano tackle box like the 3700 model, and fill it with several colors of beads, some interchangeable clevis' and some "good" ball bearing barrel swivels, and all your favorite blades, and keep it on board so you can change things as you need to.

Best place to buy them is a craft store. You get alot more for your money there than buying them from a tackle shop.
